How are we doing? The Alabama State Department of Education maintains achievement records for all PreK-12 public school districts in the state. Located in North Alabama, Lauderdale County Schools have a rich history dating back to 1913, when we graduated our first student.
Alabama complies with the national Every Student Succeeds Act, and Alabama's Accountability System is a unified approach to meeting those requirements. Alabama Act 2012-402 requires the State Superintendent to develop a school grading system.
Note: The U.S. Department of Education granted the State of Alabama a waiver for 2019-2020 in reporting student achievement results due to COVID-19.
