Lauderdale County Schools Kindergarten Registration for the 2019-2020 School Year
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR LAUDERDALE COUNTY SCHOOLS
Superintendent of Lauderdale County Schools, Jon Hatton, announces registration clinics for children who plan to enroll in kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year in the Lauderdale County School System.
Children registering must be five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2019 to be eligible for kindergarten. The following are needed for initial enrollment in public school:
• Child's verified birth certificate • Child's social security card or temporary school assigned number • Alabama Certificate of immunization or Certificate of Exemption that is within date against the following diseases: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Poliomyelitis, Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (Chicken Pox). Immunization certificates are available from the Lauderdale County Health Department or local physicians. • Proof of residency (e.g., phone bill, utility bill, cable bill, etc ...
During each registration session, school personnel will offer suggestions to the parents/guardians to prepare the child for school. Parents/guardians and prospective kindergarten students should attend the session located at the school in which they will be enrolled. The registration sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m.
