Pre-K applications for the 19-20 school year will open Tuesday, January 15th. Applications will be accepted through Friday, March 15th at 3 p.m. Children whose applications have been received during this time frame will have their names included in the random drawing to be held at the Lauderdale County Board of Education Annex on Mar. 22nd at 9 a.m. The drawing is open to the public. To be eligible for Pre-K, a child must be a resident of Alabama and be four years old on or before Sept. 1, 2019. Priority for admission to the school system’s Pre-K program will be given to students who reside within the Lauderdale County School district. Fifteen outstanding Pre-K classes are housed across the eight elementary schools within the system (Brooks - 3 classes, Central - 2 classes, Lauderdale County - 2 classes, Lexington - 1 class, Rogers - 2 classes, Underwood - 2 classes, Waterloo - 1 class, and Wilson - 2 classes).
