The Lauderdale County School System will be accepting applications from March 8, 2021, through March 28, 2021, for the following T.O.P.S. preschool programs for the 2021-2022 school year: Brooks Elementary School, Lauderdale County High School, and Wilson High School. Parents who live within the Lauderdale County School district may complete an application at the preschool site closest to where they live.
Typical peers will be determined through a drawing process. The drawing will be held the first week of April 2021. Names not drawn will be placed on a waiting list. Three-year-olds will go two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), and Four-year-olds will go three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays).
There is no tuition charged for attendance in the TOPS Preschool programs. Applications will be available at TOPS 2021-22 Preschool Application. All typically developing peers must go through the application process to attend the T.O.P.S. preschool program.
Children who qualify for special education services, do not need to go through the application process. Their services will continue to be determined by their IEP team based on their needs, as required by law.
