Dear Lauderdale County Parents, Students, and Employees,
We are living in a different kind of time for certain and as things continue to shift in Alabama in the COVID-19 cases and responses, the Lauderdale County School System's Return-to-School Plan has been revised. The new calendar shows the first day of school for students is now August 24, 2020.
Click here for more details about the Return-to-School Plan (Revised). The Plan outlines the traditional option of coming to school and the virtual option which about 20 percent of our families have chosen. The deadline for choosing the Lauderdale County Virtual School option was at Noon on Friday, July 31, 2020.
As more information becomes available from the Governor, Alabama Department of Public Health, or the Alabama State Department of Education, this Return-to-School Plan Revised will be updated as needed.
We are excited to begin a new school year and make it the best it can be for our students, staff, and communities.
