  • Congratulations to Maegan McGee on being selected as the ATCTC Simulated Workplace “Employee of the Month” for August 2019.

    Maegan is a senior at Rogers High School where she has a 4.14 GPA. She is also beginning her 2nd year in Mrs. Horton’s Teaching & Training program. She has been a very active class member, as well as an active FCCLA member. Maegan chose to complete the Teach & Train FCCLA project her junior year. She did a great job at the state competition in March representing ATCTC. Maegan qualified for nationals & competed at the National FCCLA Conference in Anaheim, CA June 30 - July 4th. 

    Maegan has helped with numerous Teaching and Training activities including: 2018 Farm to Table at Killen Park, BES Kindergarten Tour the Town, Killen Community Trunk or Treat, FCCLA book drive for newborns, BES Spring Fling, 3 days of volunteering for the SAF World Championship, various fundraisers to raise money for the NLC trip and field experience hours for Education & Training and Teaching I. On top of being a very active FCCLA member, Maegan is a member of the Buccaneers in Blue Marching Band. She is the section leader for her instrument section. Maegan is always willing to go above and beyond what is expected of her inside and outside the classroom. She is always willing to put forth the effort to meet her goals. Although Maegan is a very quiet student, she is not afraid to speak up when necessary.



    Congratulations to Bailee Strait on being selected as the Lauderdale County School System Career and Technical Education Student if the Month!

    Bailee is currently a senior here at Rogers High School where she has a 4.3 GPA. She has completed three classes in Mrs. Cabler’s Business Education program and is credentialed as a Microsoft Office Specialist. Bailee has been an active member of FBLA since the 9th grade and she served as an officer as a sophomore. She has attended the State FBLA Conference for the last three years. She placed 3rd in Business Communications as a freshman, 4th in Sports and Entertainment Marketing as a sophomore, and 2nd in Business Procedures as a junior. These placements qualified her for  National FBLA Conference all three years as well. Bailee has participated in various FBLA activities including the annual toy drive, fall festival, CASA project, warm coat drive, and canned food drive. She participated in the Jolly Roger Jam project last year. Bailee Strait has been a member of the Rogers Dance Line for four years, serving as captain this year. She was a member of the marketing team for Best Robotics last year. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club. She has served on the yearbook staff and is a member of Spanish Club and History Club. She received several scholarships from her participation in the Distinguished Young Women Pageant earlier this year.
