• LC Virtual Academy

LC Virtual Academy has partnered with EdgenuityⓇ, a Web-based curriculum, to enhance your child's educational experience. Students in grades 7-12 will be assigned an LCVA teacher that will monitor student progress, be available for academic support, and communicate with students and parents.

LCVA will have lab hours for middle and high school (7-12) students to receive content help when needed. Students may meet virtually with their teachers upon request. Teachers will answer all questions/emails and phone calls within 24 business hours. The program is self-paced with automatic due dates to ensure student success.

Virtual learning allows students to establish their own weekly schedule-day(s) and time(s) schoolwork is completed. However, students must maintain adequate weekly progress and attendance in order to continue with LCVA. For the 2023-2024 school year, adequate weekly progress is defined as "On Target" in all courses on Sunday at 11:59 pm OR work 10 hours AND complete 35 activities each Monday-Sunday calendar week. Student attendance will be recorded every day through Edgenuity logins.

The LCVA program is popular with high school students who desire a flexible school schedule. This includes students who are employed, students with special medical needs, students who are experiencing social challenges at their current schools, and students who wish to accelerate their graduation. Enrollment is open prior to the beginning of each new academic semester and is a semester-long commitment.
