Savannah is a senior at Lexington High School. She was nominated by her Family and Consumer Science teacher, Mrs. Kim Walker.
Katelyn is a senior at Rogers High School. She was nominated by her Teaching & Training instructor, Mrs. Somer Horton.

Congratulations to Emily Sundquist on being selected as the “Employee” of the Month at ATCTC for April 2019.
Emily is a senior at Brooks High School where she has a 3.98 GPA. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Math Team, and National Technical Honor Society. She is enrolled in Mrs. Corum’s Bluewater Medical program. She is completing the Certified Nursing Assistant class where she participates in clinicals each week. Emily recently competed in the nursing assisting competition with the Health Occupations Students of America. She placed 2nd out of 96 students. This qualified her for the nationals competition in Orlando, Florida. She is also a member of Mrs. Davis’ Work-based Learning program. Emily is currently employed at Mitchell Hollingsworth as a CNA. Emily has received both an academic and nursing scholarship to the University of Alabama.
Congratulations to Gracelynn Morrison on being selected as the May 2019 “Employee” of the Month at ATCTC.
Gracelynn is a senior at Lauderdale County High School where she has a 4.28 GPA. Through Mrs. Corum’s Nurse Aide Training program, Gracelynn has earned the title, “Certified Nursing Assistant.” She currently serves as vice-president of the Health Occupation Students of America organization and she served as “head nurse” in the simulated workplace concept at ATCTC. She is a senior class vice-president, Jr Civitan vice-president, Key Club editor, and FCCLA vice-president. Gracelynn is also a member of the Lady Tiger basketball team and First Priority. She was selected to attend the American Legion Girls’ State Delegation where she was selected as Good Citizen and City Chaplin. She was a Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Ambassador and was selected to join the Senior Beta Club. She was voted Homecoming Queen, Miss Lauderdale County High School, Best All-Around in Senior’s Who’s Who, and DAR Good Citizen. Gracelynn placed silver in the FCCLA State Star Event as a senior. She was also a state qualifier in HOSA both her junior and senior year. She is CPR and AED certified and credentialed in Microsoft PowerPoint. Gracelynn has also participated in numerous community service projects. She is a proven leader who is kind to everyone she meets.
Congratulations to Jennifer Neiman on being selected as the LCSS April Career & Technical Education Student of the Month.
Jennifer is a junior at Central High School where she is a member of Mrs. Cooper’s Cosmetology program. She is currently enrolled in her 4th cosmetology class. She is an active member of SkillsUSA where she currently serves as president. Jennifer recently competed in the District competition where she placed 2nd. She will compete in the State SkillsUSA event this week. According to Mrs. Cooper, Jennifer practices for the State event each and every day after completing her class work without having to be reminded. She also works at Jack’s after school. When Jennifer graduates, she plans on completing her Cosmetology degree at NW-SCC. Jennifer is an all-around great student.
Congratulations to Jake White on being selected as the Lauderdale County School System Career & Technical Education May Student of the Month!!
Jake is a junior at Brooks High School where he is a member of Mrs. Graves’ Culinary Arts program. He is also enrolled in the Engineering program at Allen Thornton Career Technical Center. According to Mrs. Graves, Jake is a very dependable student and a hard worker who always strives to do his best. He is a member of the Brooks High School FCCLA and is currently membership chair. Jake has worked hard to increase membership, and as a result, membership has grown 98% this year. He competed in the state STAR events the past two years. This year, he qualified to compete at nationals in Anaheim, CA. Jake is also a member of the Sr Beta club, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society. He was also selected to serve as a state FCCLA officer this year. He was elected as the 1st vice-president at the 1st Executive Council meeting in Montgomery.
