Principal - David Matthews


I am married to Sherri, who is an assistant principal at LCHS. Sherri and I have five children, Cortney, Adam, Seth, Taylor, and Erin, and one granddaughter, Alona.


I am glad to say that I graduated at Rogers High School in 1980. I received my Bachelor of Science degree at UNA in 1992, and my Masters of Arts degree in Educational Administration at UNA in 2004.


I taught one year at Lexington and fourteen years at Rogers in the elementary grades. I served as an assistant principal at Rogers for eight years prior to becoming the principal in February of 2015.

I am married to Ragan Burks, teacher at Brooks Elementary. Ragan and I have two children, Lottie and Collin.


I graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1997 and my Masters of Arts in Elementary Education in 2001. I also received an ED in administration in 2005.


1997-2009: Elementary Teacher- Rogers School
2009-2010: Elementary Reading Coach- Rogers School
2010- Present: Assistant Principal

Assistant Principal - Anita Olbon


I am a lifelong residence of Lauderdale County. I have been married to Robert Olbon for 35 years. We have 2 grown sons, Justin and Jordan. I love to travel, read and visit with friends and family. I am very excited to be a part of Rogers High School!

B.S degree, Masters in counseling and administration, Ed.S in administration….all earned at the University of North Alabama

National Board Certified in counseling


1994-1998…..Underwood Elementary School. I taught P.E. and was the counselor for grades K-6

1998-2009…..Wilson High School. I was full time counselor for the elementary grades.

2009-2015…..Lauderdale County High School. Assistant principal working primarily with grades PK-6.

2015-Present…Rogers High School. Assistant principal for elementary
