Lexington history teacher receives 2017 Yale Educator AwardJason Lard, a social studies teacher at Lexington, has been named one of only two Alabama recipients of the 2017 Yale Educator Award. The Yale Educator Recognition Program is run by the Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions and aims to honor outstanding teachers and counselors. Nominated by former student Kaitlyn Corfman, Lard was among 411 nominees from 42 states and 24 countries. A committee made up of Yale admissions officers pared the list of 411 down to the final set of 58 teachers and 30 counselors who will receive an engraved desk set and a letter of congratulations. Congratulations, Mr. Lard, on receiving this well-deserved honor!
