On Tuesday, April 11, twelve members of the LCHS JAG program traveled to Birmingham to the state JAG competition. Six of these students competed in the following events:

Jose Acosta (PowerPoint Presentation) Click to view his slideshow.

Shawn Thompson (Employment Interview)

Nicole Gilliam (Public Speaking)

Jose Acosta, Malcolm Jackson, Shawna Mendoza, and Chandler Simpson (JAG Bowl)

Shawn Thompson won 2nd place in the Employment Interview and Jose Acosta won 3rd place for his PowerPoint Presentation. Nicole Gilliam received the Chairman's Recognition Award for Lauderdale County High School. I could not be prouder of these students for competing and working so hard to prepare for these events. I am also proud of those who attended to support them: Dakota Holt, Scarlett Garner, Adrianna King, Bailee Garrison, Matthew Hartzell, and Colby Scott.

These students have worked hard all year long and represented the Lauderdale County JAG Program very well.
