Effective July l, 1999, all newly employed personnel having unsupervised contact with students in the Lauderdale County School System will be required to submit a criminal background check mandated by the State.   Applicants are responsible for initiating their own background check process. All applicants must submit a copy of their social security card and one other form of identification such as a valid driver’s license with their application and letter of interest. All new employees will be hired pending E-Verification compliance.

Salary based on the approved Lauderdale County Board of Education Salary Schedule: 

               

                        FLSA Exempt           NO BENEFITS                                                          

                        1st 20 days Regular Substitute Teacher Pay - $65.00 per day

                        Beginning 21st day, certified in field - $206.37 per day

Must meet all of the following minimum requirements: Be at least 19 years of age; possess a high school

Diploma or GED; Possess a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) OR at least 9 credit hours of

college coursework in the field of Early Childhood Education or Child Development from a regionally

accredited institution; Possess appropriate experience (at least 12 months) working in early childhood

or experience in other OSR approved settings.
